The invention relates to the technical field of mechanized bridge operation, and discloses a bridge placing control system and method for a mechanized bridge, and the system comprises a remote controller, a control box, a bridge placing hydraulic solenoid valve, and an angle sensor, a pressure sensor and a laser range finder which are arranged on a bridge placing mechanism; the remote controller outputs the received operation signal to the control box; the control box controls the bridge releasing hydraulic electromagnetic valve to work and drives the bridge releasing mechanism to perform bridge releasing action; the angle sensor detects the rotation angle of the bridge placing mechanism; the laser range finder detects the distance between the bridge span and the ground; the pressure sensor detects the pressure value of the bridge releasing mechanism; and the control box controls the bridge releasing speed of the bridge releasing mechanism through the bridge releasing hydraulic electromagnetic valve according to the received rotation angle and distance, and controls the bridge releasing mechanism to stop working according to the pressure value after the bridge span touches the ground, so that the bridge releasing operation of the bridge span is completed. The operation difficulty and the operation time can be reduced, and the operation efficiency is improved.
