The invention relates to a built-in steel plate connecting column type double-steel plate shear wall and a mounting method thereof, and belongs to the field of structural engineering. The steel plate shear wall is composed of two outer side steel plates, edge built-in steel pipe columns and a plurality of middle built-in steel pipe columns which are arranged between the two steel plates, a plurality of connecting steel plates between the steel pipe columns and filled lightweight concrete. Steel plates on the two sides are symmetrically arranged in parallel; the two outer side steel plates are provided with vertical long-strip-shaped plug weld joint holes used for being connected with all steel pipe plunger weld joints. The built-in steel pipe columns are welded and connected through steel plates; lightweight concrete is poured into inner cavities of the steel pipe columns and cavities between the steel pipe columns so that the heat preservation performance and the energy dissipation capacity of the shear wall can be improved. The shear-resistant and anti-seismic combined steel pipe column has good shear stiffness and anti-seismic performance and also has enough vertical bearing capacity.
