The invention belongs to the technical field of concrete materials, and particularly relates to hydraulic self-healing mortar and a preparation method thereof. The hydraulic self-healing mortar disclosed by the invention is prepared by mixing the following components in parts by weight: 270-290 parts of a rubber material, 700-750 parts of aggregate, 4-4.5 parts of an additive, 1.5-9 parts of a repairing agent, 100-110 parts of water and fibers accounting for 0.5%-1.2% of the total volume. The preparation method comprises the following four steps: preparing the components, dry-mixing, pulping and forcibly stirring. The prepared mortar is repaired and inspected through the five steps of preparation, die filling, crack reserving, maintenance and repair detection test. The mortar disclosed by the invention has the functions of self-diagnosing cracks and self-repairing the cracks, can provide a new research way for improving the crack resistance of a concrete matrix or reducing existing cracks of concrete, and can also provide guarantee measures for improving the performance of a concrete material, so that the service life of a concrete building is prolonged.
