The invention discloses a method for automatically adjusting a track gap of a permanent magnet array. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps of: calculating deformation quantities of a sky beam and the permanent magnet array and displacement quantity of the permanent magnet array relative to the sky beam in different environments; the above data are analyzed, kidney-shaped holes for reducing gap changes are formed in the permanent magnet array, meanwhile, pre-pressing blocks are placed between the permanent magnet arrays, when the sky beam and the permanent magnet array deform, the pre-pressing blocks placed between the permanent magnet arrays apply opposite force to the permanent magnet arrays, stress borne by the permanent magnet arrays is equal, deformation quantity is the same, and the permanent magnet arrays are not prone to deformation. Therefore, the distances between the permanent magnet arrays are small in change and are the same. According to the invention, the space change of the permanent magnet array caused by deformation of the sky beam and the permanent magnet array when the sky beam expands with heat and contracts with cold due to environmental influence can be effectively avoided, and a guarantee is provided for stable operation of a train.
