The invention relates to a positioning method for a circular pipe culvert. The positioning method comprises the steps that a formwork structure of a foundation concrete structure is erected in the design direction of the circular pipe culvert; a plurality of pairs of positioning pieces are vertically erected in the formwork structure at intervals in the length direction of the formwork structure; pouring is conducted in the formwork structure to form a foundation concrete structure, and positioning pieces are partially buried; marking a position marking line of the positioning piece on the pipe joint; a pipe joint is hung on the at least two pairs of corresponding positioning pieces, the bottom of the pipe joint is located between each pair of corresponding positioning pieces, the bottom of the pipe joint is arranged on the foundation concrete structure, the position of the pipe joint is moved and adjusted so that the position marking line can be aligned with the corresponding positioning piece, and positioning of the pipe joint is completed; and completing positioning of the next pipe joint according to the design position of the next pipe joint, and repeating the step to complete positioning of each pipe joint. Positioning of the pipe joint in the vertical direction is achieved through the symmetrically-arranged positioning pieces, and positioning of the pipe joint in the horizontal direction is achieved through the position marking lines on the pipe joint.
