The invention provides a multi-beam steel cable tower installation method which comprises the following steps that a self-climbing self-weight machine is installed at the tops of two adjacent tower columns meeting the height requirement, the self-climbing self-weight machine is used for hoisting steel tower sections, steel beams and sections of the steel beams of the tower columns, and the steel beams are constructed from bottom to top along with upward construction of the tower columns; when the tower column is constructed to the position above the mounting position of the first steel cross beam, the first steel cross beam is lifted to the mounting position of the first steel cross beam through a self-climbing self-weight machine and is welded and fixed; when the tower column is constructed to the position above the mounting position of the second steel cross beam, the second steel cross beam is hoisted to the constructed first steel cross beam section by section through the self-climbing self-weight machine, and the second steel cross beam is assembled on the first steel cross beam; hoisting the assembled second steel cross beam to the mounting position through the self-climbing self-weight machine, and welding and fixing the second steel cross beam; construction of the remaining steel cross beams is completed according to the steps of constructing the second steel cross beam, and construction is convenient.
