The invention provides a portable stair applied to a side slope and a using method thereof.The portable stair comprises a plurality of stepping structure units composed of pedals, vertical supporting rods fixed to the side edges of the pedals and inclined supporting rods, and the pedals in each stepping structure unit form a triangular supporting structure through the vertical supporting rods and the inclined supporting rods on the side edges; an internal thread sleeve is arranged on the side edge of the pedal, the vertical supporting rod and the inclined supporting rod are fixedly connected to the side edge of the pedal through standard bolts, and a plurality of handrail vertical rods and soft ropes connected between the handrail vertical rods are arranged on the side edge of the stair structure composed of the pedal structure units.
