Carbon fiber toughened silicon carbide sealing material and preparation method thereof
The invention discloses a carbon fiber toughened silicon carbide sealing material and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method mainly comprises the following steps: firstly, providing a carbon fiber preform with carbon fibers in gradient distribution from the center to two sides; then treating the carbon fiber preform by adopting a chemical vapor impregnation-reactant infiltration process to obtain a porous C/SiC composite material intermediate; carrying out densification treatment on the surface of the porous C/SiC composite material preform by adopting a chemical vapor impregnation process to obtain a dense C/SiC composite material; and finally, grinding and polishing the compact C/SiC composite material preform to obtain the carbon fiber toughened silicon carbide sealing material. By adopting the preparation method disclosed by the invention, the impact toughness of the carbon fiber toughened silicon carbide sealing material can be improved to a level equivalent to that of a hard alloy, and the carbon fiber toughened silicon carbide sealing material is expected to be widely applied to mechanical sealing devices in marine environments such as underwater power systems.
本发明公开了一种碳纤维增韧碳化硅密封材料及其制备方法,该制备方法主要包括如下步骤:先提供碳纤维自中心向两侧呈梯度分布的碳纤维预制体;然后采用化学气相浸渍‑反应体熔渗工艺对碳纤维预制体进行处理,得到多孔C/SiC复合材料中间体;之后采用化学气相浸渍工艺对多孔C/SiC复合材料预制体表面进行致密化处理,得到致密的C/SiC复合材料;最后对致密的C/SiC复合材料预制体进行磨削加工、抛光处理,即制得碳纤维增韧碳化硅密封材料。采用本发明的制备方法能将碳纤维增韧碳化硅密封材料冲击韧性提高到与硬质合金相当的水平,有望在水下动力系统等海洋环境下机械密封装置上获得广泛的应用。
