The invention discloses a construction method of a bent arch suspension bridge, and relates to the technical field of bridge engineering, and the construction method comprises the following steps: building a pair of skewbacks which are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the width direction of an existing road; a rotating hinge is mounted at the top end of each skewback; two half auxiliary arches are assembled on the assembling support, and the bottom end of each half auxiliary arch is hinged to a rotating hinge: the two half auxiliary arches rotate around the rotating hinge and are folded to form a main auxiliary arch; multiple groups of main and auxiliary arches are repeatedly constructed at equal intervals in the length direction of the existing road to form a main and auxiliary arch framed bent; starting from the first section of the steel beam section by using a deck crane, mounting the rest of the steel beam sections section by section while walking; every time one steel beam section is hoisted, the steel beam sections are hung on the corresponding main and auxiliary arches through the slings until the steel beam sections are folded.
