The invention discloses an electronic lock compatible with left and right unlocking and a method for automatically judging left and right unlocking of the electronic lock, the electronic lock comprises a lock main body and a spring bolt seat, the lock main body is provided with a switch knob, the switch knob is connected with a rotating shaft which is coaxially arranged and synchronously rotates, and the spring bolt seat is provided with a spring bolt and a first transmission assembly used for driving the spring bolt to be opened/retracted.
