The invention relates to the technical field of building construction, in particular to a deep foundation pit rapid dewatering device which comprises a water pipe, a water pump, a balancing weight, a corrugated pipe, a mounting plate, a floating plate, a connecting rope, a tension sensor and ground for supporting a supporting plate. A foundation pit is arranged on the ground; the supporting plate is placed at a foundation pit, and a control plate is arranged on the supporting plate; the water outlet end of the water pipe penetrates through the supporting plate, extends into the foundation pit and is connected with a water pump; the floating plate is provided with a first through hole for a water supply pipe to pass through; the mounting plate is connected with the bottom surface of the floating plate; a mounting groove is formed in the bottom surface of the mounting plate; the tension sensor is mounted on the inner wall of the mounting groove; two ends of the corrugated pipe are respectively connected with the lower end surface of the mounting plate and the balancing weight; the connecting rope is located in the corrugated pipe, and the two ends of the connecting rope are installed on the tension sensor and the balancing weight respectively. The invention further provides a method of the rapid dewatering device for the deep foundation pit. Through a simple mechanical structure, accumulated water in a foundation pit can be pumped in time.
