The invention discloses a spraying robot and a spraying method. The spraying robot comprises a vehicle body, a plurality of spraying guns, a plurality of movable distance measuring sensors and a moving mechanism. The plurality of spray guns are movably arranged on the vehicle body, the spray guns are suitable for spraying a to-be-coated surface, and the at least two spray guns are different in type. Each distance measuring sensor moves relative to the surface to be coated and collects a plurality of distance values. And the actual horizontal distance value between the spray gun and the to-be-coated surface is obtained through the horizontal distance between each distance measuring sensor and the spray gun and the collected distance values. The moving mechanism adjusts the stroke according to the actual horizontal distance value so as to drive the multiple spray guns to move and spray. According to the spraying robot disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, high-precision spraying work can be realized by different types of spraying guns, so that the spraying operation quality of the spraying robot is improved, and the input cost of the spraying robot is reduced.
