The automatic water adding system comprises the motor sweeper, a water tank is arranged on the motor sweeper, a water inlet pipe is further arranged on the motor sweeper, and one end of the water inlet pipe is fixedly connected with the side, close to the ground, of the water tank and selectively communicates with the interior of the water tank; the other end of the water inlet pipe vertically faces the ground and is spaced from the ground; a water outlet pipe is vertically arranged on the ground and located below the water inlet pipe. The water outlet pipe selectively moves to the end, away from the ground, of the water outlet pipe in the vertical extending direction away from the ground to abut against the end, close to the ground, of the water inlet pipe, so that the water outlet pipe communicates with the water inlet pipe; according to the water pressure principle, the water retaining part and the abutting column are arranged, so that in the non-water-adding state, the water inlet pipe is isolated from the interior of the water tank, and the water outlet pipe is isolated from a water source; in the water adding state, the water inlet pipe is communicated with the interior of the water tank, the water outlet pipe is communicated with a water source, and therefore automatic water adding of the sweeper water tank can be achieved.
