The invention relates to an inorganic nonmetal moisture-absorbing and sterilizing material and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method is a colloidal forming method and comprises the following steps: mixing and stirring mixed raw material powder and an organic plasticizer under a heating condition to prepare colloidal forming slurry; putting the slurry into an injection molding machine, and carrying out injection molding to obtain a green body; and putting the formed green body into an inorganic filler for degreasing and sintering to obtain the inorganic non-metal moisture-absorbing and sterilizing material, the raw material powder comprises a supporting material, a functional material and a binder; the supporting material is at least one of slag, diatomite, calcium oxide, vermiculite, aluminum oxide, montmorillonite and perlite, the functional material is an inorganic non-metallic material with catalytic activity, and the binder is at least one of low-melting-point glass powder and sodium silicate.
