The gypsum plaster board is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts of calcined gypsum, 0.05-1 part of an ion retardant, 0.1-2 parts of fibers, 0.15-1.5 parts of a binder, 0.01-0.5 part of a foaming agent, 0.01-1 part of a crystal regulator and 50-90 parts of water. According to the gypsum plaster board and the preparation method thereof disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, the gypsum plaster board with light weight, good mechanical property and flexibility resistance can be prepared from the building gypsum containing more foreign ions.
