The invention provides a construction method for anchoring steel pipe piles of a steel trestle on a thin covering riverbed. The construction method comprises the following steps that firstly, a first row of anchoring piles and a first section of the steel trestle are constructed; secondly, a first row of temporary piles and a second section of steel trestle are constructed; thirdly, construction of a second row of temporary piles is conducted; fourthly, a temporary drilling platform is arranged between the top faces of the first row of temporary piles and the top faces of the second row of temporary piles; fifthly, drilling equipment is arranged on the temporary drilling platform, a crawler crane is arranged on the constructed steel trestle, and construction of a second row of anchoring piles is conducted; sixthly, the temporary drilling platform is dismantled, and construction of a third section of steel trestle is completed between the top ends of the first row of temporary piles and the top ends of the second row of temporary piles; and seventhly, the first row of temporary steel pipe piles are dismantled, and the third step to the sixth step are repeated to complete construction of the remaining anchoring piles of the steel trestle. According to the method, the safety, the stability and the anchoring quality in the anchoring process of the steel trestle steel pipe pile are improved.
