The invention provides a method for reinforcing a pressed steel pipe, and relates to the technical field of steel pipe reinforcement. A compression steel pipe reinforcing method comprises the steps that a reinforcing pipe is cut, and the reinforcing pipe is cut into two identical semicircular reinforcing plates in the length direction of the reinforcing pipe; reinforcing plates are installed, specifically, the reinforcing plates are installed on the two sides of the to-be-reinforced pressed steel pipe, a gap between the reinforcing plates is adjusted so that the reinforcing plates can be located in a vertical plane, and an external fixing tool is used for temporary fixing; filling a gap, wherein the gap between the reinforcing pipe and the to-be-reinforced pressed steel pipe is filled with an adhesive filler along the joint of the reinforcing pipe; and fixing strips are uniformly arranged in the length direction of the reinforcing pipe at intervals in a sleeving manner.
