The invention discloses a preparation method of graphene toughened aluminum oxide composite ceramic, which comprises the following steps: adding graphene oxide into distilled water or an organic solvent system to prepare a uniform graphene oxide dispersion liquid, then adding aluminum oxide ceramic powder and a small amount of sintering aid, stirring to form a uniform suspension dispersion liquid system, and drying to obtain the graphene toughened aluminum oxide composite ceramic. The obtained dispersion liquid is poured into a high-temperature reaction kettle, a self-supported three-dimensional graphene and ceramic powder composite material is formed through solvothermal reaction, and then the graphene toughened aluminum oxide composite ceramic is obtained through solvent removal, compaction and high-temperature sintering treatment. According to the preparation method, a three-dimensional cross-linked graphene network is introduced into an aluminum oxide substrate, so that the strength and the fracture toughness of the aluminum oxide ceramic substrate are improved, and the conductivity of the aluminum oxide substrate can be greatly improved through three-dimensional graphene.
