The invention belongs to the technical field of architectural ceramics, and particularly discloses an ink-jet printing unfired decorative light ceramic plate and a preparation method thereof. The ink-jet printing unfired decorative light ceramic plate sequentially comprises a light ceramic base body, a bottom surface layer, a pattern decorative layer and a cover surface protective layer from bottom to top, the bottom surface layer is formed by sequentially curing seal primer and white primer, and the pattern decoration layer is formed by ink-jet printing of water-based color ink after curing of anti-diffusion water-based paint; the viscosity of the seal primer at normal temperature is 300-500 mPa.s, and the anti-diffusion water-based paint contains a vinyl acrylate-acrylate copolymer. The light ceramic plate is decorated by the unfired ink-jet printing coating, so that the firing process is omitted, the energy consumption is greatly reduced, and a low-cost green development road is provided for decoration processing of the light ceramic plate.
