The invention discloses a construction method for excavating a riverway barge ridge under the condition of tube well protection in a limited space, and belongs to the field of construction methods for riverway barge ridges. The method comprises the steps that inner supporting protection is conducted on the inner side wall of the inverted siphon well; the side, away from the inverted siphon well, of the original barge ridge is locally excavated out of an enclosure; a row of first protection piles are arranged on the side, close to an original barge ridge, of the inverted siphon well in a driving mode; two rows of second protection piles are driven in the river channel on the outer side of the original barge ridge to form a cofferdam; the soil body between the inverted siphon well and the first protection piles is subjected to grouting reinforcement, the area defined by the two rows of second protection piles is filled with sand bags, and the two rows of second protection piles are pulled and fixed; the first protection pile is pulled out; water in the area, close to the inner side of the original barge bank, of the cofferdam is drained; and carrying out retaining wall excavation construction on the original retaining wall. By means of the method, under the limited space conditions that the tube well is close to the riparian line, the site space is limited, and normal use of the tube well is kept, the spider excavation construction can be conducted.
