The invention provides high-rise building demolition equipment and a high-rise building demolition method. The high-rise building demolition equipment comprises at least two sets of supporting mechanisms, at least one hoisting mechanism, a transportation mechanism, a frame platform, four sets of operation hanging frames and a sound insulation cover. The two sets of supporting mechanisms are installed in the two opposite sides of a to-be-dismantled building structure in a liftable mode correspondingly and used for ascending and descending of the high-rise building dismantling equipment so that the high-rise building dismantling equipment can dismantle building structures at different heights. The hoisting mechanism can be transversely and movably mounted between the two groups of supporting mechanisms and is used for dismantling building structures at different positions; the four groups of operation hangers are detachably mounted on the outer walls of the two opposite sides of the building structure respectively; the frame platform is installed on the top of the supporting mechanism and the top of the operation hanging frame. The transportation mechanism is mounted on a building structure; the sound insulation cover is arranged on the outer side of the operation hanging frame and the top of the frame platform in a covering mode. According to the device and method, the construction efficiency of building demolition can be improved, construction safety is guaranteed, and construction dust and noise are prevented from disturbing residents.
