The invention discloses a high-rise building demolition robot and a demolition method of the high-rise building demolition robot. Comprising a machine body part, a breaking hammer part used for breaking a cement floor and a cement wall in a building, a hydraulic clamp part used for shearing steel bars exposed out of the broken floor, and a grasping clamp part used for grasping waste materials left in the building after breaking and shearing and putting the waste materials into a material conveying device part. The wide bucket part is used for rapidly shoveling waste materials; the material conveying device part comprises an upper-layer loading hanging frame, a lower-layer waste containing frame and a ground waste treatment frame; the steel frame stand column is used for enabling the dismantling robot part and the material conveying device part to be transported up and down, and the top hoisting unit is used for transporting standard knots of the steel frame stand column to the upper portion from the ground and installing the standard knots through cooperation of constructors and the automatic climbing unit. Dismounting and waste treatment are carried out at the same time, and the engineering efficiency is improved.
