The low-cost energy-saving type basement dehumidification system comprises a water supply main pipe, a water return main pipe, a water supply branch pipe and a water return branch pipe which are respectively connected with a sponge city reservoir and/or a fire pool, an evaporator is arranged between the water supply branch pipe and the water return branch pipe, and the evaporator is connected with a basement ventilation system. And a BEEH normally open control valve is arranged on the basement ventilation system. The humidity in the basement is monitored in real time through a humidity sensor; when dehumidification is needed, a BEC normally-closed control valve and a BEEH normally-closed control valve are opened, a BEEH normally-open control valve is closed, and water in air in a basement is directly condensed and discharged to a water collecting well through an evaporator by means of low-temperature water in a reservoir and a fire pool and a basement ventilation system; when dehumidification is not needed, the BEC normally-closed control valve and the BEEH normally-closed control valve are closed, the BEEH normally-open control valve is opened, and the basement ventilation system works normally. The method has the characteristic that the dehumidification cost can be effectively reduced.
