The invention discloses a method for harmlessly treating a hazardous waste desulfurizer through an European smelting furnace, sulfur in the hazardous waste desulfurizer is reduced into elemental sulfur by using the reduction atmosphere of an European smelting furnace system, fixed slagging of sulfur and economic treatment of slag as a building material are realized through chemical reaction in the furnace, the production process is stable, and the treatment amount of the waste desulfurizer is large; secondary pollutant emission is eliminated, and obvious environmental protection benefits are achieved; the European smelting furnace co-processing waste desulfurizer breaks through the traditional process limit value of utilizing a cement rotary kiln to co-process solid waste/hazardous waste, achieves the target of large-scale co-processing waste desulfurizer on a metallurgical furnace, namely the European smelting furnace, and develops a new way of solid waste/hazardous waste treatment. The technology which is low in cost, harmless in reducing atmosphere, free of secondary pollution of dioxin, high in treatment capacity and capable of treating solid waste/hazardous waste in a high-valued mode is achieved, and the blank at home and abroad is filled.
