The invention provides an automatic control method and device for a vehicle charging port cover, equipment and a storage medium, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining the state information of a vehicle, the position information of the vehicle, the remaining electric quantity of the vehicle, and the target position, wherein the state information comprises a parking state and a driving state; when the vehicle is in the parking state and the remaining electric quantity of the vehicle is smaller than or equal to a preset electric power threshold value, the vehicle position information is compared with the target position; when the vehicle position information is consistent with the target position, opening control is conducted on a vehicle charging port cover; or when the vehicle is in the running state, the vehicle charging port cover is controlled to be closed. According to the method, the state information, the position information and the residual electric quantity of the vehicle are analyzed, whether the vehicle has the charging condition or not is judged, the vehicle charging port cover is automatically opened when the charging condition exists, the vehicle charging port cover is closed when the charging condition does not exist, and therefore automatic control over the vehicle charging port cover is achieved.
