The carry-scraper overspeed protection method comprises the steps that the real-time vehicle speed of a carry-scraper is obtained; when the vehicle speed exceeds the starting value of the overspeed system, the power source of the carry-scraper is cut off; when the vehicle speed exceeds an overspeed system alarm value, an alarm is given; when the vehicle speed exceeds a running brake set value, the brake proportion is increased; and when the vehicle speed exceeds a parking brake set value, the parking electromagnetic valve is started. According to the invention, the real-time speed of the carry-scraper is compared with the set overspeed system starting value, overspeed system alarm value, running brake set value and parking brake set value to perform corresponding deceleration action, so that the speed of the carry-scraper is limited within a reasonable range when the carry-scraper runs on a long downhill.
