The invention relates to a power transmission line tower settlement monitoring, early warning and protection device and method. The telescopic connecting rods are connected between the spiral supporting columns and the corner piles on the periphery of the power transmission line tower, and tension is provided for the corner piles on the periphery when settlement of the power transmission line tower exceeds an early warning value. Settlement monitoring equipment and settlement early warning equipment are arranged at the upper end of the spiral supporting column; the four corners of the bottom of the power transmission line tower body are connected with settlement monitoring equipment through cross rods. The tops of the four corner piles are flush with the tops of the spiral supporting columns. The settlement early warning equipment is used for converting spring pressure, caused by settlement, in the settlement monitoring equipment into charges to be output, amplifying charge signals, converting the charge signals into digital signals and transmitting the digital signals to the far-end receiving equipment; the far-end receiving equipment receives the digital signal transmitted by the signal transmitting equipment, then carries out data processing and judges whether the digital signal exceeds a settlement early warning value or not; real-time monitoring, early warning and protection of settlement of the power transmission line tower are achieved, and the safety problem caused by excessive settlement of the power transmission line tower is effectively reduced.
