The slow-release polycarboxylate superplasticizer is prepared from the following raw materials: a polycarboxylate superplasticizer, modified hydrotalcite, modified zeolite and water, the modified hydrotalcite is prepared by heating hydrotalcite and then soaking under an acidic condition; the modified zeolite is prepared by soaking zeolite in strong acid and strong acid salt solution and then heating; the preparation method comprises the following steps: blending unsaturated polyoxyethylene ether and methacrylamide, adding water, stirring until the mixture is dissolved, then adding hydrogen peroxide, and uniformly stirring and mixing; the solution A and the solution B are dropwise added at the same time for 1.5-3 h, and curing is conducted after dropwise adding is completed; adding a sodium hydroxide solution until the pH value is 6, and then adjusting the moisture until the solid content is 35-45%; the preparation method comprises the following steps: blending a polycarboxylate superplasticizer, modified hydrotalcite and modified zeolite, carrying out ultrasonic treatment, blending the obtained mixed solution with absolute ethyl alcohol, carrying out ball milling treatment, and drying. The slump retaining agent has the advantage of meeting the construction requirement of super-long-time slump retaining.
