The invention provides an ecological restoration method for a spontaneous combustion coal gangue mountain. The ecological restoration method comprises the following steps of point distribution and drilling, anchor rod installation, grouting and fire extinguishing, grouting and anchoring, protective net laying, bottom sealing layer spraying, net hanging and spray seeding and spray irrigation maintenance. Grouting liquid is conveyed to the spontaneous combustion area of the gangue dump through the grouting anchor rod for grouting and fire extinguishing, the grouting anchor rod plays a role of a grouting channel, drilling gravel is prevented from blocking a drilling hole, the grouting efficiency is improved, and the slope is protected in the later period; grouting anchoring is carried out through the drilled holes arranged in a plum blossom shape, the landslide phenomenon of the gangue hill is avoided through the double-layer protective net anti-skid slope surface, meanwhile, the gangue hill is isolated from air by spraying the bottom sealing layer, and the spontaneous combustion phenomenon of the gangue hill in the later period is avoided; and finally realizing ecological restoration of the gangue hill slope through net hanging and double-layer spray-seeding. The grouting liquid, the grouting liquid and the bottom sealing layer completely take solid wastes as raw materials, so that the raw material cost is reduced, and the resource utilization rate is increased.
