The invention relates to an artificial ecological wetland system which comprises an ecological wetland body, a water inlet channel and a water drainage channel are arranged in the ecological wetland body, a solid floating object settling area, a plant root system purifying area and a water drainage area are sequentially arranged in the ecological wetland body in the direction from the water inlet channel to the water drainage channel, and the water drainage channel is communicated with the water drainage area; a stone filling layer, an inverted filter layer, a backfill soil layer and a riprap layer are sequentially laid in the ecological wetland body, and the inverted filter layer comprises a first geotechnical cloth layer laid on the stone filling layer, a gravel layer laid on the first geotechnical cloth layer, a gravel layer laid on the gravel layer and a second geotechnical cloth layer laid on the gravel layer; geogrids are laid on the second geotechnical cloth layer, the backfill soil layer is laid on the geogrids, and the riprap layer is laid on the backfill soil layer. The ecological wetland has the effect that pollutants deposited in the ecological wetland body are not prone to polluting the bottom of the ecological wetland body and the surrounding soil layer.
