The invention relates to the field of composite material production, in particular to a formula and a process for preparing foamed ceramic by using aluminum ash and ceramic polishing slag, the foamed ceramic uses original high-content silicon carbide and aluminum oxide components in the ceramic polishing slag as main raw materials, and uses more metal oxidation elements in secondary aluminum ash as auxiliary materials; the foaming rate in the foaming process is reduced, the compactness of the prepared foamed ceramic and the consistency of foam holes are improved, the compressive hardness and breaking strength of the prepared foamed ceramic can be improved, addition of additional foaming agents is reduced, energy consumption and pollution can be remarkably reduced through the dry-method powder preparation technology, the ceramic polishing residues and the aluminum ash are prepared into the foamed ceramic, and the resource utilization rate can be increased; the production cost is reduced.
