The invention relates to the technical field of protection devices, in particular to a highway engineering construction protection device which comprises three bases, the three bases are distributed in an equilateral triangle shape, mounting grooves are formed in the tops of the three bases, and protection stand columns are universally connected into the mounting grooves. Three linearly-distributed cross rods are arranged between every two protection stand columns, and the two ends of each cross rod are in universal connection with the surfaces of the corresponding protection stand columns correspondingly. Due to the fact that every two of the three protection stand columns are universally connected through the transverse rods, when one protection stand column rotates reversely, the transverse rods can be in linkage with the other protection stand columns to turn over, the protection device can cope with impact in any direction, and richness of the buffering direction is improved; meanwhile, when the cross rod on any side is impacted, the disc is driven by the protection stand column to be buffered in the elastic deformation process of the third elastic supporting mechanism, and the impact force in any direction can be buffered.
