The invention discloses a basalt fiber reinforced polyethylene composite material, and belongs to the technical field of composite materials, the basalt fiber reinforced polyethylene composite material comprises the following raw materials by weight: 75-150 parts of polyethylene resin, 5-35 parts of chopped basalt fiber, 5-20 parts of nano inorganic rigid particles, 0.1-0.8 part of a coupling agent, 1-10 parts of a compatilizer, 0.1-1.0 part of an antioxidant, and 0.1-1.0 part of a dispersant. The invention further discloses a preparation method and application of the composite material. Through optimization and adjustment of the formula composition and the preparation process, the pressure resistance, the pressure resistance and the wear resistance of the composite material are improved, the linear expansion coefficient of the material is reduced, and the problems of poor physical properties, high material cost and difficult processing and forming of a polyethylene material in the existing polyethylene water supply and drainage pipeline technology are solved; a pipe product prepared from the composite material can be applied to the field of urban water transmission and distribution, agricultural irrigation, buried communication cable sheaths, industrial pipelines and the like.
