The invention relates to the technical field of excavator control, and provides an excavator control method applied to an electric rotary excavator, a main controller, the electric rotary excavator and electronic equipment.The method comprises the steps that an action instruction is received, and when it is determined that an action indicated by the action instruction is a first target action, the first target action is determined based on the relation between a first opening degree and a first reference opening degree; the set required power of the main pump is adjusted according to the first target action and the power distributed to each single action in the first target action by the hydraulic rotary excavator with the same tonnage as the electric rotary excavator under the first reference opening degree, the actual required power of the main pump is obtained, and the actual required power of the main pump is obtained based on the actual required power and the second opening degree; and controlling the electric rotary excavator to execute the first target action. The method is used for overcoming the defects that in the prior art, due to the fact that the power distribution principle of a hydraulic rotary excavator is still adopted for power distribution of an electric rotary excavator, energy waste is caused, and an operator is prone to feeling uncoordinated with the speed of a working device.
