The invention relates to the technical field of steel structure construction, in particular to a steel structure construction platform and a using method thereof. The platform comprises a platform body, a guiding and supporting mechanism, a lifting driving mechanism and a locking mechanism, and the guiding and supporting mechanism comprises a supporting column and provides guiding and supporting for lifting of the platform body; the platform body is arranged on the outer wall of the guide supporting mechanism in a sleeving mode and comprises a sleeve, an upper platform arranged on the upper middle portion of the outer wall of the sleeve and a fixing rod obliquely fixed to the upper platform and the lower middle portion of the outer wall of the sleeve. The lifting driving mechanism is arranged on the guide supporting mechanism and connected with the platform body, and the lifting driving mechanism drives the platform body to move up and down along the guide supporting mechanism; the locking mechanism is arranged on the platform body and mainly used for fixing the position of the platform body on the supporting column and enhancing the position stability, locking is conducted only when the operation position does not need to be adjusted, and unlocking is needed when the operation position needs to be adjusted. The height adjustment and the stability in the construction operation process are good.
