The invention discloses an expressway distributed intelligent self-service charging station and a use method thereof. The problem that in the prior art, charging piles are intensively arranged in an expressway service area, and the vehicle charging requirement cannot be met is solved. An existing expressway network is utilized, self-service charging stations are arranged along the expressway at intervals of N kilometers, the charging stations are marked in an automobile navigation map, a driver selects the charging station to enter by himself/herself, and a vehicle drives into a parking space of the charging station.
