The invention relates to a hydraulic clamp and a clamping installation method.The hydraulic clamp serves as an excavator accessory to be arranged at the front end of a small arm of an excavator and comprises a hydraulic rotary motor, a clamp frame, a clamp claw and a hydraulic oil cylinder, and the hydraulic rotary motor and the hydraulic oil cylinder are both driven by the excavator; the hydraulic rotary motor is installed in the middle of the upper portion of the clamp frame and can drive the clamp frame to rotate by 360 degrees. The two clamp claws are symmetrically installed on the two sides of the clamp frame, and the upper portions of the two sides of the clamp claws are movably connected with the clamp frame. The hydraulic oil cylinder is arranged on the lower portion of the clamp frame and connected with the middle positions of the upper portions of the clamp claws on the two sides. When the hydraulic oil cylinder extends, the gripper arms on the two sides are pushed to rotate oppositely and are engaged. A rotatable movable clamping plate is arranged at the meshing position of the lower ends of the clamping claws. According to the hydraulic clamp, 360-degree full rotation can be achieved, the position and the angle can be more accurately adjusted during grabbing and placing, the prefabricated part with the rectangular section can be stably grabbed, and the surface of the prefabricated part is not prone to being damaged.
