The invention relates to an installation platform facilitating beam spanning operation and a beam spanning method thereof, the installation platform comprises at least three U-shaped hooks and at least two pedals, and the U-shaped hooks are used for being hung on a rope; under the condition that the span beam is not needed, the two U-shaped hooks are located on the same side of the supporting beam, and the two pedals are erected on the two U-shaped hooks. When a span beam is needed, the two U-shaped hooks are located on one side of the supporting beam, the third U-shaped hook is located on the other side of the supporting beam, and the two pedals are sequentially transferred to the third U-shaped hook. The installation platform is simple in structure, light in weight, small in moving difficulty and capable of achieving rapid beam spanning; and compared with a movable scaffold, the installation platform is small in moving process difficulty and short in time.
