The invention belongs to the field of magnetic levitation, and particularly relates to a suspension gap adjustment protection device and a magnetic levitation system and method.The suspension gap adjustment protection device comprises a mounting base and a rolling body, the mounting base is provided with a rolling groove and a wheel shaft matching groove, and the groove bottom of the rolling groove is obliquely arranged; an inlet is formed in the lower side of the groove bottom, facing the rolling groove, of the wheel shaft matching groove; the rolling body comprises a wheel shaft and a wheel body, the rolling body has a moving stroke which rolls away from the groove bottom from the low side to the high side of the groove bottom of the rolling groove, and when the rolling body rolls away from the groove bottom, the wheel shaft is rotationally matched with the wheel shaft matching groove through the inlet. Therefore, the F rail and the magnetic suspension module are prevented from attracting each other, meanwhile, the suspension gap can be quickly adjusted from the minimum value to the normal value, and the normal suspension gap is kept until the suspension control system recovers to the normal working state.
