The invention relates to the technical field of automatic parking, in particular to an automatic parking system which comprises an upslope plate which is obliquely arranged upwards. The belt conveying device is arranged in the direction perpendicular to the parking space; the downhill plate is obliquely and downwards arranged towards a parking space, and the belt conveying device is located between the uphill plate and the downhill plate; the vehicle clamping device is arranged on the belt conveying device, the uphill plate and the downhill plate are both in butt joint with the vehicle clamping device, and the vehicle clamping device can clamp a parked vehicle; the vehicle tilting device is arranged on the vehicle clamping device; and the vehicle parking detection device is arranged on the side, facing the parking space, of the vehicle clamping device. The method does not need to depend on the automatic parking function of the vehicle, and can meet the requirements of automatic parking of all vehicles.
