The invention discloses a road surface paving gutter inlet protection device and a construction method thereof.The road surface paving gutter inlet protection device comprises a cover box used for shielding a road surface gutter inlet, the cover box comprises a plug connector and a socket connector, a notch is formed in the bottom of the socket connector, the plug connector is movably inserted into the notch, and the plug connector is movably inserted into the socket connector; the plug connector is detachably provided with a locking piece used for locking the socket connector. Each hooking assembly comprises a supporting column, a cantilever beam and a back pressure part, the supporting columns are vertically arranged on the inserting piece and the socket piece respectively, the supporting columns are installed at one end of the cantilever beam in a lifting mode, the back pressure parts are vertically arranged, the other ends of the cantilever beams are adjustably installed at the upper ends of the back pressure parts, and the upper ends of the back pressure parts are connected with the inserting piece and the socket piece. A containing groove used for being sleeved with the curb is formed among the back pressure piece, the cantilever beam and the supporting column. The problem that in the paving process of an existing pavement structure, a protective hard formwork is adopted to cover a gutter inlet, and the gutter inlet is difficult to take out is solved.
