The invention discloses a foundation pit dewatering system and method in a coastal sandy soil area, the foundation pit dewatering system comprises a plurality of dewatering wells arranged around a foundation pit on the peripheral side of the foundation pit, suspension water pumping devices suspended in the dewatering wells are arranged in the dewatering wells, and each suspension water pumping device comprises a suspension block floating on the water surface; a protective net cylinder is hung at the bottom of the suspension block through a rope, a water suction pump is fixed in the protective net cylinder, supporting legs are arranged at the bottom of the protective net cylinder, and pressure sensors are arranged at the bottoms of the supporting legs; a filtering sleeve is arranged in the dewatering well, an end cover is arranged at the outer end of the filtering sleeve, and a penetrating hole for a conveying pipe on the water suction pump to penetrate through is formed in the end cover.
