The invention relates to an installation method of a three-pipe bundling self-standing steel chimney. The mounting method comprises the following steps: S1, hoisting and welding an upper-section chimney cylinder body by using a crane; s2, an upper platform ladder and accessory components are installed on the upper section of the chimney barrel; s3, a lifting mechanism is installed at the bottom of the upper-section chimney barrel; s4, the upper-section chimney barrel is lifted through a lifting mechanism; according to the method, the large chimney is mounted by adopting a hydraulic lifting and inverted mounting method through a forward mounting and inverted mounting combined mounting method, so that the mounting height is reduced, and the ultrahigh chimney can be mounted by using a crane of 150 tons or below to hoist and organize construction; the method has the advantages of no need of large hoisting equipment, small overhead working amount, simple welding protection measures, easiness in installation and operation, low construction cost and reliable safety quality guarantee measures.
