The invention discloses a method for preparing building gypsum by pretreating titanium gypsum with sulfuric acid process acidic wastewater, which comprises the following steps: (1) carrying out ball milling treatment on titanium gypsum, and screening to obtain powder A; (2) pretreating the powder A obtained in the step (1) by using acidic wastewater, and carrying out solid-liquid separation to obtain a filter cake A; (3) carrying out drying, ball milling and screening treatment on the filter cake A obtained in the step (2) to obtain high-purity titanium gypsum; and (4) calcining and aging the high-purity titanium gypsum obtained in the step (3), and modifying with an additive to obtain the building gypsum. The waste stockpiled titanium gypsum is used as a raw material, and the sulfuric acid process acid wastewater is used as an impurity removal reagent, so that the production cost is effectively reduced, and the environmental pollution is reduced; the high-purity titanium gypsum is obtained through the acid pickling reaction, and the resource utilization rate of the titanium gypsum is increased; after the high-purity titanium gypsum is obtained, the high-purity titanium gypsum is prepared into the high-performance building gypsum through calcination, aging and additive modification treatment.
