The invention discloses a method for preparing an aluminum-chromium brick from a Catofin process waste aluminum-chromium catalyst and carrying out harmless treatment on the aluminum-chromium brick. According to the method, the waste aluminum-chromium catalyst in the Catofin process is taken as a treatment object, and the waste catalyst is directly added or crushed into particles or fine powder and other particles to be introduced, so that the aluminum-chromium brick is prepared. The alumina-chrome brick is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: particle composition (50-75% of particles and 25-50% of matrix); 1-30% of a waste catalyst; and 1.25-15% of metal aluminum powder. Cr < 6 + > in the waste catalyst is reduced into harmless low-valence chromium ions by adding a strong reducing atmosphere and metal aluminum powder in the sintering process. Through the process, the industrial hazardous waste, namely the waste aluminum-chromium catalyst, is subjected to innocent treatment, and the waste can be recycled to partially replace a chromium-containing raw material with high price.
