The invention relates to an ultra-large span pull rod arch underground composite structure and a construction method thereof. A large-span open-cut box type tunnel structure has the problems of large structure size, multiple structure cracks, complicated internal stress distribution, large settlement deformation due to nonuniformity and the like. The structure comprises a box-shaped structure, a pull rod arch structure and a pile foundation, the pull rod arch structure is located at the top of the box-shaped structure, and the pile foundation is located at the bottom of the box-shaped structure; the pull rod arch structure comprises a horizontal supporting plate, a pull rod and an arch top plate, the arch top plate is in an arch shape and located above the horizontal supporting plate, and the pull rod is vertically connected between the arch top plate and the horizontal supporting plate. A combined structure of the pull rod arch structure, the longitudinal hidden beams and the bottom pile foundation is additionally arranged in the tunnel box type structure, the work amount is small, a stress system is clear, the structural rigidity and stability are obviously improved, the size and deformation settlement of structural components are reduced, and the structural safety is improved.
