The invention relates to the technical field of sagger production, and particularly discloses a preparation method and application of a mould pressing graphite sagger. The preparation method comprises the following steps: carrying out microwave irradiation modification reaction on crystalline flake graphite by using soluble ferric salt, then uniformly mixing with a macromolecular adhesive to obtain mixed powder, putting the mixed powder in a mold, applying a magnetic field and vibrating at the same time to obtain mixed powder which is neatly arranged in the mold, pressure is applied to the interior of the mold, heating and temperature rise are conducted for preliminary curing after compression molding, and the mold-pressed graphite saggar is obtained after high-temperature carbonization is further conducted. The method can be used for preparing the lithium battery negative electrode material and has the advantages of being good in heat conductivity, not prone to being oxidized, short in processing period and the like.
