The invention provides an ornamental porcelain capable of purifying air and a preparation method thereof.The preparation method comprises the steps that petalite, spodumene, quartz, kaolin and talc are smashed and then mixed, water is added for ball milling, forming, drying and biscuiting are conducted, and a green body is obtained; then diatomite, mullite, wollastonite, medical stone, sodium bicarbonate, silicon dioxide microspheres, indium-doped nano titanium dioxide and water are mixed and subjected to ball milling, and glaze is obtained; uniformly dispersing the alpha-zirconium phosphate loaded nano oxide in absolute ethyl alcohol to obtain premixed slurry; and performing primary glazing and primary glaze firing on the green body by using glaze to form a first glaze layer, uniformly spraying the premixed slurry, drying, performing secondary glazing and secondary glaze firing to form a second glaze layer. The porcelain product can be used for appreciation, the functions of the porcelain product are further enriched, and the porcelain product has a good air purification function and a very good market popularization value.
