Provided are: a zirconia sintered body which can be widely used as a dental material, particularly a zirconia sintered body which can be applied to either a dental material for cheeks or a dental material for incisors; and a simple method for producing the zirconia sintered body. The present invention relates to a method for producing a zirconia sintered body, the present invention is characterized by comprising: a molding step for obtaining a molded body by molding a powder composition containing more than 3 mol% and 5.2 mol% or less of yttrium oxide, the powder composition containing a first zirconium oxide powder having a yttrium oxide content of 2-4 mol% and a second zirconium oxide powder having a yttrium oxide content of more than 4 mol% and 6 mol% or less; and a sintering step for obtaining a sintered body by sintering the molded body.
本发明提供一种可以作为牙科材料广泛使用的氧化锆烧结体、特别是对臼齿用牙科材料及门齿用牙科材料的任一种均可以适用的氧化锆烧结体、及其简便的制造方法。该氧化锆烧结体的制造方法的特征在于,具有以下工序:将含有氧化钇含量为2mol%以上4mol%以下的第一氧化锆粉末和氧化钇含量超过4mol%且为6mol%以下的第二氧化锆粉末的、氧化钇含量超过3mol%且为5.2mol%以下的粉末组合物进行成形而得到成形体的成形工序;及将该成形体进行烧结而得到烧结体的烧结工序。
