Zirconium oxide sintered body and method for producing same
Provided are: a zirconia sintered body which can be produced even when a sintering furnace for sintering at atmospheric pressure is used, and which has mechanical strength and light transmittance required for dental restorations; a method for producing the zirconia sintered body; a precursor for the zirconia sintered body; and/or a method for producing a precursor. This zirconia sintered body is characterized by containing yttrium oxide and zirconia, the yttrium oxide content being 4.5-6.5 mol% inclusive, the remainder being zirconia, the sample thickness being 1 mm, the total light transmittance measured in accordance with JIS K 7361-1 being 46.5% or more, the three-point bending strength being 700 MPa or more, and the total light transmittance being 46.5% or more as measured in accordance with JIS K 7361-1. The ratio of the integrated value of the linear transmittance to the integrated value of the total light transmittance at a sample thickness of 1 mm and a measurement wavelength of 400-700 nm is 1.3% or less.
